Essential Question: Explain why you believe that Winnie chooses to pour the spring water on the toad, instead of drinking the water herself and living forever.
Essential Answer: I think Winnie gave the toad the water instead of drinking it for herself because she had more water in the spring and the toad was going to be eaten by the dog. But, if the toad lived forever the dog could not hurt the toad or eat the toad. Therefore, that is why I think Winnie gave the toad the water.
